Q&A

I never intended for this to be mainly a foster care blog. And I promise I will write about other things. Soon. But I am working on a post for a blog friend about foster care in AZ, and I was wondering if there are any questions you'd like me to answer.     :-) I'd like to know what the biggest challenge is with bringing in kids who may be terribly broken into a home with your own kids who haven't dealt with those challenges. How do your kids handle it?

    One of my hesitations in doing foster care is the idea of having to let the kids go...knowing that they might not be returning to ideal situations...how has it been in caring for them, loving them, and then letting them go?

    I'm enjoying reading about your journey. I am getting licensed this month to be a foster (and hopefully eventually adoptive) single mom in Arizona. I've been imagining that first call and wondering what the very first placement will be like. Can you share more about that first day/night?
